Magz and Wendy first met on April 2022, working as one of the 300 ESEA extras for the Netflix show The 3 body problem.
Wendy noted how prior to filming she had only met 1 out of the 300 extras. She commented how she was surprised as she’d thought every ESEAs in the UK knew all other ESEAs, and that it was a tight knitted community. Also, how she had a lot of single ESEA friends that wanted to date other people of ESEAs background but struggle to met many outside of work, school or family friends – and that it would be great for the 300 extras to meet up outside of the intense filming schedule in a social and fun setting.
The super entrepreneurial Magz slid into Wendy’s DMs and asked if she’d like to do an event together, to create that social environment for the 300 extras, plus various other ESEAs in their combined networks to meet and mingle. The rest was history and they launched their first event August 2022.
