What is ESEA?
ESEA stands for East and Southeast Asian
Why ESEA events?
We wanted to create a vibrant, fun atmosphere for people of ESEA heritage to meet others in the community outside their usual circle. Especially after the nightmare that was covid 19 and the fear/anxiety that came with the spike of verbal and physical racist attacks towards East and Southeast Asians.
We wanted to create a safe space for us ESEAs to bond and embrace the nuances that being East or Southeast Asian in a western country, whilst supporting other local ESEA businesses; and also showcasing arts and talents of fellow ESEAs.
Who can attend our events?
It doesn’t matter is you’re 1.5% ESEA or 100% ESEA, as long as you have an East or Southeast Asian ancestor we welcome you to come to all of our events!
If you have no ESEA heritage, but your spouse/partner is of ESEA descent, you are welcomed to events were we specify non-ESEA spouse/partners are invited as long as they enter with their ESEA companion.
If you have no ESEA heritage, but you want to attend with your friends, you are welcomed only to open events. Apologies if there is any disappointment, we want to prioritize ESEAs as our goals for A+ Events is to bring together the East and Southeast Asian community. We will also have other events for people of all backgrounds too.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets for our events are currently available only on eventbrite, please see the events webpage for the links. In the future we are working on tickets being able to be purchased on this website
